Our most anticipated global event is finally here! Knitters, welcome to DAL 6. If you have Shirley’s first book, Knitwear Design Workshop, you’ll know all about Shirley Paden’s DAL legacy. Part knitting challenge, part design bootcamp, the stakes have never been higher.

About the Event
Over the past four years, we as a team, have been pleasantly bombarded with requests for a global knitting challenge. Shirley had high hopes of obliging the commuKnitty with an illustrious live-synced event. But the world has changed irrevocably. So, we will adapt. And we will grow together. DAL 6 is a virtual event, old and new knitter friends, knitwear designers, and teachers for a grand finale.
The DAL (Design-A-long) is a creative challenge for knitters who aspire for more. Participants must first choose a stitch pattern from a selection based on a single theme, such as Lace or Cables... Once they’ve chosen a stitch pattern, DAL-sters must design a garment around it. Shirley and her team will be there as Design Coaches to ensure everyone receives personal attention.
